| 内容記述 | Considering the transition of the role of women in the modern society, and the needs and demands of social advancement of women and the practice of gender-equal society,it is crucial to find an effective way to educate young women in the tertiary education. Here I propose the introduction of principles and educational methods of liberal arts into home economics, to encourage young students studying home economics in women’s university to build professional careers such as administrative and leading roles in the society. To do so I practiced ‘critical thinking’ and ‘dialog’ in the study of food area of home economics and examined the effect of active learning into the classes. Introducing active learning improved difficulty in dealing with logical thinking, helped to understand ‘why and how’, rather than the memorization of technical terms; a pair and/or team work made them to realize how difficult and important to communicate with others more than merely mastering the knowledge and skills of foods. Text data mining of questionnaires from students experienced active learning indicated that it was effective in improving attitude toward subjective learning and career development. | |||||||||||
