Using the aforementioned strategy‚ a Tokyo–based para–sport coach provides skill coaching to a para–athlete with mild intellectual disability; the athlete is a shot putter in athletics and lives in a depopulated area of Hiroshima Prefecture‚ Japan. In this case‚ the distance between the coach and the athlete was approximately 700 km. Furthermore‚ this study identified this athlete’s disability as an individual cognitive difficulty with memory retention of what was learned in skill training. To address this issue‚ this study used an online “electronic diary” for taking rapid notes on what was learned during skill training. After four months‚ his skills had improved‚ and his personal best had increased from 11m57cm to 12m41cm.
